Adam Brotherwood is a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s degree from York University, and 15 years of experience working in healthcare supporting those with chronic pain and complex medical needs. In addition, he has been providing individual counselling to adolescents, adults, and parents for over 10 years.
Adam is committed to working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, chronic medical concerns, as well as parental support and training.
Adam practises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative, and solution-based therapy through the use of humour, warmth, and a non-judgmental, open approach. He determines the best type of therapy that considers one’s unique lived experiences, culture, goals, and values, to help create positive change and individual growth.
