Dr. Ellie Jin

Dr. Ellie Jin (she/her) obtained her undergraduate degree at McGill University and her doctoral degree in clinical psychology (with specialization in psychoneuroendocrinology) from University of Texas at Austin. She works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, disordered eating, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, difficulty with relationships, emotion dysregulation, issues stemming from discrimination and marginalization, and co-occurring endocrine disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and thyroid disorder. In treatment, she draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based interventions, as well as psychodynamic/relational-based approaches.

Prior to working at TPWG, Dr. Jin provided individual and group therapy within an integrated medical center at University of Texas at Austin. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Austin Anxiety and OCD Specialists where she worked individuals across the lifespan struggling with anxiety and OCD-spectrum disorders, including Tourettes and body-focused repetitive disorders. Dr. Jin completed her residency at the Colorado State University Health Network, which provides adherent individual and group-based Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for individuals recently discharged from voluntary/involuntary hospitalization for self-harm and suicidality.

Outside of work, Dr. Jin enjoys hiking, biking, listening to audio books, playing board games, and going on adventures with her DnD group.
