Sierra Gaudreault, BSc, MEd, RP

Sierra Gaudreault is a Registered Psychotherapist who received her Master of Education in Counselling Psychology (Counselling & Psychotherapy) from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto and her Bachelor of Science, Honours in Biology and Psychology from Queen’s University. She is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
She has experience providing individual psychotherapy to help clients across a range of concerns, including anxiety and stress, depression, emotional regulation, self-compassion, identity, relationships and life transitions, among others. Although her background is in adult mental health, she has always been passionate about working with young people around topics of body image and body shame.
Sierra integrates different treatment approaches in order to individualize therapy for each client. She draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Feminist Therapy. She further ensures that treatment remains trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and client-centered at every step of the way.
Sierra believes in building genuine, safe and warm relationships with clients. She strives to make therapy a space that is collaborative and non-judgemental. She believes that raising our self-awareness can help us to choose behaviours that are more functional and meaningful.
Sierra as a range of experience in university, private practice and community settings in the provision of peer support, resource referral, crisis counselling, neurofeedback and community outreach.
Outside of work, Sierra enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones and tending to her house plants.
