Amy Graham (she/her) is a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Wayne State University, where she will complete her PhD this spring. She holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from the same institution. Amy has extensive clinical experience, including a Health Psychology Practicum and Residency at Henry Ford Health System, where she provided psychological assessments and interventions in interdisciplinary medical settings. Her work addressed the psychological impacts of complex health issues such as chronic pain, cancer, and mental health disorders, equipping her to support patients in navigating the intricate relationship between mental and physical health.
Amy conducts comprehensive diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, assessing and providing treatment recommendations for giftedness, learning disabilities, and ADHD. She also offers evidence-based psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, utilizing a holistic approach that integrates various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT), Mindfulness practices, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), and Interpersonal Therapy. This diverse array of treatments allows her to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring that her practice is grounded in empirical evidence and aligned with contemporary psychological research. She is also committed to understanding and treating the effects of trauma and anxiety on the central nervous system through a trauma-informed approach.
Amy is dedicated to supporting neurodiverse individuals and 2SLGBTQI+ patients, ensuring compassionate care for all. Her inclusive practice welcomes patients from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, reflecting her belief that diversity enriches the therapeutic experience. She values every patient’s story and is prepared to help explore the complex factors that contribute to it from a biological, psychological, and social perspective.
To enhance accessibility, Amy offers both in-person and telehealth sessions, allowing patients to receive support in a manner that best suits their lifestyles. Whether in her welcoming office or connecting from home, she is committed to providing compassionate care tailored to individual needs.
Outside of her professional life, Amy is a mother of five and enjoys gardening, a wide range of music genres, watching baseball, camping, and swimming.
