Dan Gheorghiu is a Doctoral practicum student in the School and Clinical Child Psychology (SCCP) program at the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). He is completing his practicum at Toronto Psychology & Wellness Group under the supervision of Dr. Lee Propp.

Dan holds a Master’s degree in Biology with a Graduate Diploma in Neuroscience from York University, as well as a Master of Arts in School and Clinical Child Psychology from OISE, University of Toronto. His clinical experience includes conducting psychoeducational and psychological assessments with the Toronto District School Board and the OISE Psychology Clinic, as well as assessment and therapy work in private practice.

In therapy, Dan has supported children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting concerns, including anger, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and difficulties with emotion regulation. He has also worked with clients on challenges related to motivation, compulsive behaviours, substance use, and lifestyle balance. His therapeutic approach is informed by Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and he takes a biopsychosocial perspective that considers mental health, relationships, and physical well-being as interconnected.

Outside of his clinical training, Dan enjoys fitness, nutrition, playing video games, and learning about different coffee roasts and brewing methods.
