Natalie trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) during a clinical practicum placement at a corrections facility, where she facilitated DBT skills groups for women diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. She has also delivered workshops to children and adolescents teaching skills for building healthy eating habits, body image and self-esteem. Natalie’s clinical experience includes working with mood disorders, grief and loss, anxiety disorders, feeding and eating disorders, body image issues, somatic disorders, trauma-related disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, substance abuse, attachment and relationship difficulties, and major health conditions, among others.
Natalie aims to help her clients build a better relationship with their emotions and with their bodies, while finding ways to live a meaningful life based on their personal values. She uses an integrative approach to psychotherapy, incorporating cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Natalie is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, the Ontario Psychological Association, and the Canadian Psychological Association.
Outside of work, Natalie likes creating recipes, food photography, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
