Erin’s practice is trauma-informed, culturally safe and person-centred. Her primary goal is to ensure you feel welcome and safe; she will provide an environment that celebrates your uniqueness and individual strengths. Erin will support you in your personal journey of healing with compassion and curiosity, gently challenging you when appropriate.
Erin is experienced in providing therapeutic care in both hospital and community-based mental health settings. She was previously a practitioner in the Adolescent Eating Disorders Unit, a live-in treatment program at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Services. She provided psychotherapy and treatment planning for adolescents with complex eating disorders and/or comorbid diagnoses and also provided support to their families and caregivers.
Erin obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Victoria and possesses an undergraduate Social Work degree from Laurentian University. Both degrees were completed with an Indigenous specialization which instilled the concepts of balance, relationship, holistic well-being, and spirituality into Erin’s practice. She gained experience working with First Nations, Inuit and Metis Peoples at Anishnawbe Health Toronto as a Traditional Youth Counsellor.
Outside of her therapist role, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys hiking, crocheting and travelling.
